Stolen Photo EquipmentWhether you've had an item stolen, or want to check that an item you are about to purchase used or on an auction site, you might want to check out these resources. Register your stolen items serial numbers here, or check serial numbers before buying an item. It is highly recommended that you request the serial number or any item before buying it on ebay or elsewhere. If the seller hesitates, it may have been ground off or the item may be questionable. When you purchase something, immediately record the serial numbers and put them in a safe place and or report them to your insurance provider. If you've had an item stolen, report the serial number to these places, as well as the manufacturer, repair facilities, and you local police department.
